A reunion Innsbruck has long awaited: *Frida Kahlo* —the production that drew standing ovations and 17 sold-out performances at its world premiere at the Tiroler Landestheater and was awarded the Golden Schikaneder as Austria’s best ballet production—is returning to Innsbruck after nearly 8 years and guest performances throughout Europe.

Through captivating imagery, Enrique Gasa Valga tells the story of a woman who never let herself be broken: passion and pain, love and betrayal, art and a zest for life—all set to rousing live Latin American music and choreography that blends classical ballet with contemporary dance theater. The role of Frida Kahlo is danced by Lara Brandi, Alice Amorotti, and Sandra Chamochumbi Castro.

“Viva la Vida – A Tribute to Frida Kahlo” will be accompanied by live music for the first time in Innsbruck. The acclaimed Bolzano singer Greta Marcolongo and musical director Roberto Tubaro—who is responsible for the original compositions and the masterful new arrangements—will provide the musical accompaniment for the production, along with their band.
